A very strong field of 36 players took place in the first ABC event following the Covid Lockdowns. Peter Sheehan (Ex Pro) who had not played for 18 years came back to the EABA ranks, his first match saw his classs with the highest break of the day with 338, with his win over John Davis..
There were a lot of close matches in the early rounds with Craig Fitzpatrick, 243 (53) winning over Mark Graham, 229. Terry Azor 237 winning over Mathew Peaker, 233.
In the quarter finals Peter Sheehan, 274 (63,53,50) narrowly edging out Chris Mitchell, 258 (51) who just ran out of time on his final break.
Peter Sheehan started well in his semi final with a break of 143, but Rob Hall came back with breaks of (101,71,63) to win 286-215.
Darren Kell was leading the final on 206 points with 6 minutes to go, Rob Hall then completed a 117 break to pinch the by 2 points as the bell went ( 208-206 ).
The plate Eddie Duggan got to the final with wins over Chris Achilles and an in form Richard Whittle, but lost in the final to Mark Graham 230-134.
