In his closing speech Steve thanked Jim and everybody at the Whitworth, Clive and all the officials. He stated how nice it was to play in front an appreciative audience, which was good for the game. Also he said that the future of the game was in good hands with the younger players coming through. Finally he said that his performance over the weekend was the best he can ever remember playing.
