The second annual Previn Shukle Memorial tournament has been arranged, and will once again be held at the Tables Snooker Club in Thornaby, Cleveland.
Four professional players, Chris Shutt, David Causier, Paul Bennett and Robin Wilson, have all been seeded through to the final stages on Sunday 19th October, commencing at 7pm.
The One Day Handicap Qualifying Event will also be held at the club, on Sunday 28th September, beginning at 11am. This is open to all amateur, junior, and other professional players and entry on the day is FREE. However, as this is a memorial event, all players competing, will be asked to make a small donation to the Cancer Research Fund, as requested by Previn's family. There will be no prize money on the day, but the two finalists will qualify through to the final stages in October.
The Junior Ranking Event, scheduled at Stockton Riley's on 5th October, will now serve a dual purpose, as this will also act as a junior only qualifying event. The top four Teesside based juniors from this competition will also be invited to take part on the final night. I look forward to seeing as many players there as possible.
