Starting with the 2004-05 season the EABA Player Rankings will be based not only on ranking points earned from the six ABC events (best 5 results only) and the English Amateur Championship, but will also take into account other measures of performance in order to produce a Ranking List where each player has a unique rank.
Under the new system the prime ranking key is still the total EABA Ranking Points, computed as the sum of the best 5 ABC results (where all 6 events are played) and any points gained in the English Amateur Championship.
When more than one player has the same number of ranking points, we look at the percentage of games won throughout the season (ABC Main and Plate games together with all games played in the English Amateur Championship).
If players are still tied, both on EABA Ranking Points and Percentage Wins, we then rank on the total number of games won. After that we move on to the average points difference in all games played and then the aggregate points difference across all games. Finally, we look at the total points scored for and against in all games.
