Thurston's were not slow in recognising the marketing advantage gained by their trade rival, Burroughes & Watts, who had started to publish a monthly magazine towards the end of 1910. They came out with their own offering in April 1911 which used a very similar format, but which advertised their goods and reflected their opinions.
This series finished abruptly with the June 1914 issue. It is not clear whether this was for commercial reasons, or that they had foreseen that the looming crisis in Europe would soon divert all resources to the war effort.
