Never throw a coin on a, billiard tableit may injure the cloth; and never throw coins on a billiard table to play a game called "Wangloo"unless, you have money to burn. "Wangloo" is a game full of "ways that are deep, and tricks that are vain."
To play it you require a piece of cardboard with which an inclined plane is made over one of the cushions, and a supply of coins many coinsthe more, the better. The players get to business alternately. The first "Wanglooist" lets his shilling (or whatever value of coin it may be agreed to play for) run on its edge over the tilted cardboard and watches it trundle gaily over the green cloth until it comes to rest. Number two does the same thing, and you keep on doing it in turn until some lucky individual makes his shilling fall on one of the more or less numerous coins scattered all over the table. Then he scoops the pool, and you begin afresh. Altogether, "Wangloo" is an extremely nice gameplayed slowly, very slowly. But we do not recommend it.
