Goodwill again

EABA Amateur Champion, Martin Goodwill, took the C.I.U. championship for the fourth year running out-pointing Michael Westthorp (19) by almost two to one in a three- hour match played at the Newport club, Middlesbrough, where both are members. Goodwill played under the handicap of suffering from a viral infection which had kept him in bed the week previous and up to the day of the match. The defending champion reported that he felt quite dizzy for the first hour or so of the game. However, as he had five century breaks, he could make himself a bit of cash by bottling the virus and offering it for sale. It seems to be the kind of infection that many players would not mind trying.
