New South Wales Open Championship

Twenty-six players contested the Championship the eventual Semi-Finalists being Phil Tarrant, Joe Minici, Joe Millen, and Andrew MacPherson. The Tarrant - Minici was a very entertaining match with both players making good breaks the best being 205 and 125 from Tarrant.

Joe Millen ran up a string of breaks with a best of 150 in a fairly comfortable win over MacPherson.

The Final was a fine match with Tarrant winning 1701 - 1441 (4 Sessions.) Tarrant had breaks of 164, 123, and 111, whilst Millen's best were 89 and 76.

1990 State Minor Billiards

26 Players played in four groups on a round-robin basis the winner of each group then going forward to the Quarter Finals.

The highest break was 100 by T. Hayward.

N.S. Wales U18 and U21

The U18 was won by S. Lawler and the U21 by T. Hayward. The U16 highest break was 61 by B. Smith and the U21s was 57 by T. Hayward.

Sydney Interclub Billiards

The Premier Division of this Tournament was won by the Marconi Club whose players beat those of the Seven Hills Club by 4 games to nil. There were some good breaks made during the tournament. Joe Minici had runs of 103,145, and 233. David Turner 108, Andy MacPherson 112, Joe Collins 140. Joe Minici's 233 was the highest ever recorded by the Sydney Association but the star of the Tournament was Joe Millen with breaks of 113,117,117,121,123,131, and 145.

Charlie Parker Champion of Champions Shield

Joe Minici was again in good form reaching the Final but was perhaps surprisingly beaten by A. Sargent 297 - 257. Minici had the Tournament top break of 82.
