New Leagues

The B.Q.R., together with all enthusiasts, welcomes the announcement that there will be two important new leagues in operation next season. These leagues, in conjunction with the Southern Counties League, will ensure that England, from the Eastern Counties through the Midlands and down into the South, will have regular inter-town billiards on a league basis which will supplement the B.&.S.C.C. County Championship. The next year or two could see some exciting developments. The New Leagues are:-

The Eastern Counties League

There are already eight teams. Huntingdon 'A,' Huntingdon' B,' Norwich (Woodside,) South Norfolk Dis,) Stiffkey 'A," Stiffkey 'B' (Holt,) West Norfolk (Hunstanton,) and Peterborough (The Court.) All enquiries to Phil Welham, Finger Hill, South Acre, King's Lynn, Norfolk PE32 2AD.

The Midland Counties League

There are already some half-dozen teams.
