This fine sporting event was brought to a conclusion at the New Burroughes Hall, St. James's Street, Piccadilly, on November 9. The first prize of £35 fell to Peall, and the second of £15 to Davis, and these were handed to the recipients by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle at the close of the event. The play was very good throughout, as may be gleaned from the figures set out below.
