The Preliminary Professional Tournament

With the revival of preliminary professional tournaments, we present on the opposite page the portraits of the players in 1912 and 1913.

These tournaments—as some expect will again be the case this year—were won by A. F. Peall, whose opponents this month and up to November 5, in heats of 3,500 up, will be Tothill (rec. 350), Lawrence (rec. 350), Carpenter (rec. 500), and Davis (rec. 750). Portraits of all of these have been recently given in The Billiard Player.
