In the final game of the Victorian Amateur Billiard Championship Mr. C. T. Luft beat Mr. H. R. Hamer by 1,000 to 706, and in the Australian Amateur Championship Mr. J. R. Hooper (now engaged in the English Amateur Championship) beat Mr. Luft by the great margin of 3,000 to 1,527. Mr. Hooper is also amateur champion of New South Wales, where he beat G. B. Shailer by 1,800 points to 1,494.
