CORRESPONDENCE

To the Editor of THE BILLIARD NEWS:

SIR,-I having a handicap on at the present time, have a gentleman with one arm in it; he plays with the rest, holding one end in his mouth; but when his ball is close to the cushion he places his pocket-handkerchief on the cushion to make a rest, not being able to get the rest on the table. One of the players has objected to his putting his handkerchief on the table, as it is an appliance not connected with the game. What I want to know is, has he a right to put the handkerchief on the table to make a rest or not, as there was no stipulation as to him playing a one-handed game, but simply to play a game at billiards? By answering this through your valuable paper you will greatly oblige your obedient servant,
