THE opening of a new billiard-room at the George Hotel, Corn Market-street, Oxford, on Monday night, Was the occasion for the settlement of the long-disputed question of the Championship of Oxford, F. Cripps, marker at the Maidenhead Rooms, having contended in a game of 500 up against C. Hearn, of the Merton establishment. The game needs little description, as Cripps led after the first 25, and won by 62 points
