BILLIARDS.—A. LEWIS.—Blue does not lose a life; refer to Rule 24 in our paper of 9th inst.

W. J. G., PILGRIM STREET, LIVERPOOL.—The rule you follow in case of a ball touching another one is quite correct. We cannot, however, account for the omission you name. At Pool a player may spot his ball in any part of the D he likes, and can then have any ball taken up, as if his ball had stopped on the place spotted. In regard to touching a ball at Pool, not in the act of striking, read Rule 20.
