John Roberts has definitely retired from professional billiards in this country and has presented to T. Reece, in whose play and prospects he has always taken great interest, one of his famous cues.
In reply to a question addressed to him by The Billiard Monthly, John Roberts wrote on August 20, from Sheringham: "I have played many important matches and made some of my best breaks with the cue in question."
Roberts has been through a severe illness during the past twelve months, but has, we are glad to state, made a wonderful recovery.
