The Eight Spot Strokes

1.—Balls in line with pocket. Draw back.

2.—Balls in line with lower shoulder. Seven-eighths stun.

3.— Balls in line with upper shoulder. Seven-eighths free running side.

4.—Half-ball on upper side of red. Easy plain stroke.

5.—Half-ball on lower side of red. Very gentle plain stroke.

6.—Three-quarter ball on upper side of red. Gentle stab.

7.—Three-quarter ball on lower side of red. Gentle run through.

8.—Quarter ball on upper side of red. Gentle running or check side.
