The flying handicap of the Stock Exchange Clerks' Billiard Association concluded on Friday night. Mr. P.

Harwitz, at scratch, defeated Mr. Townshend (received 22). The final in the handicap proper was being played on the 14th inst., as we went to press, between P. Wood (owed 200) and D. M. Lewis (rec. 20).

At the Shepherd's Bush Club, the Athenaeum, Goldhawk Road, Shepherd's Bush, on January 24, the final heat (200 up) in the first handicap of the season was played between E. H. Morley (owing 80) and A. Winn (owing 50). Morley, who won by 46, will be the final holder of the club championship cup if successful in this year's contest. The best breaks made during the game were 32, 28, 24, and 21 by Morley, whilst Winn was responsible for 19, 14, 12, and 11 (thrice) After the different sessions of the Harverson-Lovejoy exhibition match at Leicester Square, amateurs amongst the spectators were given the chance of making a break under standard conditions from the spotted balls. Only a few contrived to make the opening long loser and the highest break of the week was 25 by R. H. Barnes, Wilton Hotel, Victoria, S.W., who was presented with a cue and case by Messrs. Thurston.
