The Amateur Billiard Player : May 1998

PUBLISHER'S NOTE

I should like to acknowledge the tremendous help I've received with the publication and layout of the last three issues of Amateur Billiard Player.

As most readers are aware, David Burgess, Albert Hanson and myself went into publication in a big hurry to try to fill, as quickly as possible, the void which was created when Tom Terry decided to cease issuing the excellent 'Billiards Quarterly Review'. To begin with we were very conscious of the amateurish appearance of our magazine, but felt that a continuance of news to the billiards fraternity was important.

Every reader will have noticed the much improved appearance of our magazine.

This is entirely due to one of our contributors, PETER AINSWORTH of Q.A.I. (Quality Assurance International Ltd.) of Billingham, Cleveland, who has donated his time and expertise for the benefit of the English Amateur Billiards Association. Much of the mundane work has now been undertaken by Albert Hanson, my role being merely to print and despatch the A.B.P.

To our many readers at home and abroad, thank you for your continued support.
