Wahdat Sana'a, Taliat Taiz and Ittihad Ibb were honoured as the top three teams in the Billiards & Snooker tournament organised by the National Billiard and Snooker Federation in November. At the closing
ceremony Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Hamood Ubad expressed his appreciation of those involved in serious attempts to make the two games as popular as possible, adding "This game is expensive, the equipment needed for it is expensive, and so it is played only by the rich people". The Sports Ministry is trying solve this problem by providing the national federation with all the equipment needed.
