Eugene Hughes captured the Irish Billiards Championships on Saturday 15th June with a 750-259 win over Celbridges Phil Martin. Eugene who had also reached the quarter finals of the Senior Snooker Championships said that it was the best billiards he had played in years. Eugene also picked up the high break prize for a superb 181 in the final.
