Chapman Exhibition

A capacity crowd of approximately 75 people packed into Redruth Royal British Legion on 18th April to see what turned out to be an excellent evening of exhibition billiards. World No.7 Roxton Chapman from Peterborough entertained the crowd with a fine display of quality billiards. Three local billiard players had the honour of playing against Roxton in the exhibition. They were Charlie Gay, Noel Meagor and Dave White, who all played very well and contributed to a great night: which included a pasty supper during the interval. The referee for the evening, Mr. Ray Vassie, was presented with an award for his services during the past three exhibitions. Roxton rounded off the evening with an excellent display of trick shots, the masse in particular went down well with the crowd. The billiards exhibition was arranged by Paul Broad (Sports Sec) and David Grigg who was also MC for the night.
