Paul Mifsud became the Malta Billiards champion for the 24th time in his career after beating Pancrazio Borg in the four-hour final at the MBSA Snooker Centre in Rabat on Thursday 21st June. In the semi- finals, Mifsud beat Alfred Borg 1,676-495 with Mifsud making breaks of 146, 155 and 142. In the other semi-final, Pancrazio Borg reached the final by narrowly defeating the young Duncan Bezzina 995-939. On the previous day, Tony Mifsud had been declared second division champion after defeating Brian Cardona 800-598 in the three-hour final.
