Top seed Saleh Mohammad won the inaugural Red & White National Masters Billiards Championship which was played at the Muslim Gymkhana, Karachi, from 17th-21st November 2000. After losing the first game 30-50 to Mohammad Hussain, Saleh won the next four 50- 43, 51-12, 51-12, 52-36 to take the title. He received Rs25,000 with Hussain collecting Rs15,000.
The first round of this competition had seen second seed Naveen Perwani crash out in the best-of-three 50-up matches, while third seed Latif Amir Bakhsh was then eliminated in the next round.
