New South Wales Open Billiards

Joe Minici defeated Joe Millen to win the New South Wales Open Billiards at the Marconi Club, Sydney, on 5th December 1999. Trailing by about 200 points in the 4 hour final, Minici made a terrific break of 266 which helped him to get back on level terms. Playing a skilful top- of-the-table game he went on to win 1268-985, averaging 25.3 for the match. Minici also took the highest break in the tournament with 328 which he made in his quarter-final against Darren Martin.
