With all the local leagues now in full swing, the Ironopolis "A" team posted their intentions with a magnificent performance against North Ormesby Workmen's Club. Paul Boden had a run of 120 unfinished while team-mate Geoff Charville produced a break of 93, both defeating their opponents 120-0. Their third player, Darren Kell, then weighed in with a break of 75 unfinished to win his game 120-28. Lee Lagan also scored a “maximum” 120 unfinished in his game for Hemlington in the Southfield League, and the following night made a run of 102 in the Redcar League, this time representing North Ormesby Institute.
