Brunei, 14th August 1999 : Praprut Chaithanasakun took his second gold medal from the 20th South East Asia Games in Brunei when, in a close final of the individual competition, he overcame Soh Chye Hian (Singapore) by the deciding game of a best of five contest. A total of sixteen competitors from eight countries took part in the event. The 36 year-old Thai had previously teamed up with Udon Khaimuk to take the pairs gold medal on 10th August, coming back to defeat Moh Loon Hong and Lee Thye Hong (Malaysia) 3-1 after losing the opening game. The SEA Games also featured Snooker and two Pool disciplines in its cue-sports section. Following their victories Praprut and Udon immediately set off for the Republic of Ireland where they also hoped to emerge successful in the IBSF Championships Results.
