The top eight players in the rankings are eligible for selection to represent England in the International matches taking place during the following season.
Only the best five results from the six tournaments are considered in the final calculation. Each entry receives 5 points.
Five points are awarded for each win from the last 32 onward. No points are at stake in any preliminary rounds. This will give a total of 30 points to the winner of each event.
Open to first match losers. No points are at stake until the quarter finals, at with stage the winner of each round receives 2½ points, except that the winner of the final receives 5 points.
Players reaching the last 32 receive 10 points. A further 10 points are awarded for each subsequent win. (ie. the English Champion will get 60 points).
