Eastern Counties Billiards League

Cambridge have a commanding lead in the 1st Division of the Eastern Counties Billiards League at the mid-point in the season, being six points clear of Lincoln "A" in second place. Albert Sainsbury (Cambridge) heads the high break list with 134, also having made three additional century breaks to date. Albert additionally has the best aggregate total with 742.

The 2nd Division (North) has Lincoln "B" out on their own, and with the chasing pack of three teams tied on points, Grimsby have the advantage over the others on aggregate scores. Matthew Sutton heads the high break list in the 2nd Division (South) with 76, and in the league, his Raunds team have already established a commanding lead over their rivals.

English Junior Championships

The English Junior events, (the results of which appear on page 14), went very much as anticipated, with all the "big guns" going through. In the under-16 Championship, two 12 year-old´s have qualified in Calvin Daws of Sculthorpe and Aaron Spencer of Fakenham, while 14 year-old Gavin Lewis excelled to reach the final stages of both events.
