2017/18 Whitworth Masters – Hall Turns the screw at the Whitworth

2017 Masters (seniors) champion Dave White went unbeaten to the well attended final of his first Whitworth Masters event at Darley Dale. However, Rob Hall raced into an early lead in the final with breaks of 157, 185 and 70 to lead at half way (hour) by 471-122, with only 9 table visits per player. In the second hour, Hall had further breaks of 74 and 138, White having an 82, Hall eventually taking his sixth Whitworth Masters title by 824 to 295, overall table averages being 43.4 to 15.5.

Defending champion Chris Mitchell missed out on the semis this time, White defeating Mark Graham in one semi, Hall defeating Gary Norman in the other.
